About us
"Charlotte's Fabrics" is not just a store. It is a love-filled story about family, creativity, and inspiration that began with one little girl – my daughter Charlotte.
I am Snow, a mother of three, and my world is filled with laughter, colorful fabrics, and creative chaos. When Charlotte was born in 2011, I created "Charlotte's Workshop," where I passionately sewed children's items and Montessori materials. The name Charlotte was so beautiful and inspiring that it became a symbol of my creative world.
When my husband Edgar and I decided to open a store in December 2020, we knew it had to carry the name Charlotte. It is a symbol of the mission between family, quality, and creativity.
After the birth of my second child in 2016, there was a kind of click, and I simply started to naturally become interested in sewing, what it is, and what can be made. I bought my first sewing machine, a very simple one - Singer Simple. The "sewing fever" took over me more and more.
I learned to sew through self-study by watching a lot of - A LOT of YouTube videos, later also taking sewing courses.
At that time, I was determined to recoup the money invested in the sewing machine by sewing Montessori balls and other developmental toys. I successfully achieved this in a few months. After the birth of my third child, I realized that I wanted something of my own, connected to my passion—sewing.
The desire to sew for myself and my family from natural, high-quality, and affordable fabrics has been within me since the beginning of my sewing journey.
Naturally, the first fabrics in Charlotte's fabric shelves were exactly 100% cotton fabrics.
The Charlotte Fabric Store was established on December 1, 2020.
WHERE WE ARE LOCATED
The fabrics of Šarlote are established in one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Cēsis –, which is a great place to create: joy, imagination, comfort.
The fabric doors of Šarlote are open to our customers at Jāņa Poruka iela 23, Cēsis. (T/C SOLO next to the PEPCO store)
