Viscose fabrics stand out for their pleasant feel on the skin and excellent drape. The viscose fabrics in our shop are woven; they are lightweight and have a cooling effect.
Viscose is a natural fiber made from cellulose. The best properties of this fabric are a pleasantly soft texture, fluid drape, and relatively easy care.
Most often this viscose fabric is used for sewing airy garments, so it’s an excellent fabric for sewing dresses, skirts, blouses, lightweight clothing, and nightwear. By themselves they are not insulating, which is why they are popular for making summer clothes.
Sewing tips:
When sewing viscose fabric, it is recommended to use microtex needles. Thanks to their especially sharp point, the needle is suitable for fabrics with a high thread density
