SCHMETZ DBx1 S are industrial sewing machine needles for leather with an S (Narrow Cross Point) tip. This needle point creates a very straight, clean stitch because the cut into the material is made perpendicular to the thread direction. Ideal for precise seams on leather without tearing the material. Chrome plating provides lower friction and higher durability during intensive use.
Choose the needle size and thread thickness according to the material’s thickness.
Fits industrial lockstitch machines that use DBX1, 16X231, 287 WH, 1738 (A), DBxF17 series needles.

The visual appearance of the stitch in the pictures refers to machines with the thread tensioned from the side. On machines with front thread tensioning the stitch effect may differ slightly. If a slanted stitch is needed, choose an LR or LL tip.
